About Willard and Ward Pro Painting
Willard and Ward Pro Painting is a family-owned painting and drywall company based in Easthampton, MA. With 37 years of experience in the painting industry, we handle residential, commercial, and industrial projects across Western Massachusetts. We serve homeowners and businesses throughout the Pioneer Valley, including Springfield, Northampton, Chicopee, and the surrounding communities.
Our Story
Brad Willard (Evan’s father), started the company in 1989. Evan started working in the company when he was 12 years old. Brad became partners with Terry Ward in 2014. In 2022 Evan and Terry took over the company and grew to where it is today. Brad retired in 2023.
“We brought that experience into what is now Willard and Ward Pro Painting, built on the same commitment to careful preparation and honest work that started it all.”

What Makes Us Different
We handle the full range of interior and exterior painting work, from single-room refreshes to large commercial and industrial jobs.
Residential painting
Our interior house painters use low-VOC materials and the same prep-first process on every job. That means cleaning, sanding, and priming before any topcoat goes on, because a rushed prep job is the most common reason paint fails early. We bring the same approach to our exterior house painting work. With Western Massachusetts weather, surface preparation and the right product matter as much as the finish coat.
Commercial and industrial painting
On the commercial side, we manage commercial interior painting projects like offices, lobbies, and retail spaces around business hours to minimize disruption, and we handle commercial exterior painting for buildings that need durable, weather-resistant coatings, new construction development painting, scheduled shutdown services. With a 20-person work force, we can optimize our production teams and schedules for larger projects to stay on-time and on-budget while maintaining quality.
Drywall services
We also offer drywall services: hanging, taping, finishing, repair, and popcorn texture removal, so drywall issues can be resolved before a paint job begins instead of becoming a separate contractor problem.
Lead-safe work
Our crews are trained as Lead-Safe Supervisors, which matters throughout Western Massachusetts, where many homes and public buildings predate 1978 and require certified lead-safe containment and handling during renovation work.
